1. Brain Surgery:
Tumor Removal: Surgical treatment for brain tumors, both benign and malignant. Surgeons may use advanced imaging techniques to pinpoint and remove the tumor while preserving healthy tissue.
Aneurysm Repair: For brain aneurysms, surgery may be required to either clip or coil the aneurysm to prevent rupture.
Epilepsy Surgery: For patients whose seizures are not controlled with medication, surgery may be performed to remove or modify the brain tissue causing the seizures.
Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt Placement: Used to treat hydrocephalus, a condition where there is an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain.
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS): A procedure to treat movement disorders like Parkinson's disease by implanting a device that sends electrical impulses to specific parts of the brain.
2. Spinal Surgery:
Spinal Fusion: Used to treat conditions like degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, or spinal fractures, where two or more vertebrae are joined together to provide stability.
Laminectomy : The removal of a portion of the vertebra (the lamina) to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves, often used to treat conditions like spinal stenosis
Discectomy: Removal of herniated or damaged disc that is compressing a nerve or the spinal cord.
Artificial Disc Replacement: A procedure in which a damaged disc in the spine is replaced with a synthetic one, often used in the cervical or lumbar spine.
Minimally Invasive spine Surgery (MISS): Using samll incisions and advanced imaging, MISS allows for faster recovery and less disruption of surrounding tissue than traditional opensurgery.
Kyphoplasty and Vertebroplasty: These are procedures used to treat vertebral compression fractures, commonly caused by osteoporosis, by injecting bone cement to stabilize the vertebrae.
